It may also be linked to depression. Accutane is not prescribed to women who are pregnant or nursing, due to potential birth defects. Retin-A has fewer potential side effect issues, and is accessible in both prescription and over the counter forms. Retin-A is also used to treat many other skin problems besides acne. Retin-A is also used to treat wrinkles, lines, scars, and skin discoloration.

If you desire to use one of the previously mentioned products, you should begin with ProActiv. If you are not getting sufficient results with ProActiv, give Retin-A a try. Use Accutane as a last resort, due to the potential side effects of this drug.

These treatments are not cheap, but they also seem to work better than the many other treatments that are on the market today.
